Celluloid Music Jewellery Box, A wooden box covered all over in sheet celluloid vinier with an oval hand painted hunting scene and brass frame in the centre of the lid, the box stands on 4 round Catalin butterscotch feet.
Boxes of this description were made as a substitute for Ivory.

Condition ofCelluloid Music Jewellery Box
The Celluloid on the lid, inside and outside has yellowed, some of the edges of celluloid have slight parting, the music movement could have possibly been replaced as the screws for fixing are different.
The musical movement plays good and loud and turns on and off when the lid is opened and closed, , do not know the tune.
