Hand‑painted decorator’s initial
B&G produced an annual Christmas plate every year starting in 1895, making them one of the earliest and most collectible series of holiday plates in the world.
Their Christmas plates are moulded relief porcelain, hand‑painted underglaze blue, meaning the cobalt blue design is applied before firing — giving that soft, luminous look.
