Description
An unusual Japanese rustic lacquer wooden tray in the style of a cut through piece of tree trunk.
Period
Early 1900’s.
Origin
Has “MADE IN JAPAN” stamped on base.
Condition
Not sure if this has been made of pieces of tree branches and put together or from one piece or is totally made from composite material but has many split or shrink marks with repairs. There is some round stain marks on tray and raised lacquer bubbles.
