The puzzle had a paper note in it with “A rare & valuable PEACOCK double dissection 1850s CAUGHT in THE ACT” from the theater drama much loved by Victoria & Albert. I do not think this belongs to the jigsaw.

The Puzzle is very intricately cut and difficult to do.

Condition
The jigsaw has 2 pieces that look like replacements as are both different wood, so must have been replace at different times in the life of the puzzle. Two pieces have broken nibs.
The box is not original and is an old box for “JASON all wool unshrinkable”
