Wooden Leather Jewellery Box One Tray Combination Lock TONNEL Paris Antique

A wooden jewellery box covered in green tooled leather with one central handle on the lid, one removable tray with inside and lined in green velvet, with a green velvet cushion.

Has a three dial combination lock with no numbers?

not sure how this works as there are no numbers on the dials and there is a little odd shaped metal key? fitted in the edge panel of the box, this seems to fit in the front edge to stop the box been locked?.

Early 1900’s.

Origin,

On the metal lock it says “TONNEL 12 rue De La Paix Paris”.

Condition

The leather on the outside is a bit worn with the stitching on the handle worn away.
